Health Hustle

Workouts, meals, sleep and recovery in one iOS app with an Apple Watch companion — the five-app juggle, ended.

The brief

What it had to do.

Anyone serious about training ends up running five apps: one for the gym, one for macros, one for sleep, one for mindfulness, and the phone's own health store underneath trying to reconcile them. None of them knows what the others know, so none of them can tell you the one thing you want — whether today's session should be heavy or easy.

Health Hustle is the argument that those belong in a single daily rhythm. Your gym, your kitchen, your coach, for less than two coffees a month: a positioning line that sets both the product's scope and the price it has to justify.

What we built

The parts that make it true.

01

Training, logged properly

Rep and set counter with weight tracking, pyramid sets, drop sets and supersets supported, rest timers, and automatic personal-best detection with 1RM estimation. Structured plans or freestyle, indoor or out.

02

Cardio that knows where you went

Live GPS for outdoor runs and rides with pace, distance and route captured; indoor mode falls back to the accelerometer. The same session record either way, so the history stays one history.

03

Nutrition against the same goals

Meal planning with macro tracking, a recipe library and dietary preferences built in — fuel described in the same terms as the training it is fuelling, rather than as a separate diary in a separate app.

04

Recovery as part of the training

Sleep stages through HealthKit, mindfulness sessions and a mental-health journal. Rest is training is a claim a lot of apps make; it only means something when the rest data sits on the same dashboard as the lifting data.

05

An Apple Watch companion

Start, pause and end a workout from the wrist with live heart rate streaming through the session — because nobody wants to take their phone out mid-set.

The detail

The decisions behind it.

One body, one rhythm

The information architecture is the product's whole argument: track, fuel, recover, in that order, on one surface. Everything else in the app resolves to those three words, which is what stops a feature list this long from reading as five products wearing one icon.

Priced in the open

For less than two coffees a month is on the hero, not behind a paywall three screens in. A subscription app that hides its price is asking for a download it will lose at the moment of truth; this one qualifies the visitor before they ever reach the App Store.
